Good
Intentions Lead to Bad Results
It
can happen. With the double standard between what behavior is acceptable
inside a work environment versus outside of work, misguided attempts
at humor can create legal risk and hurt feelings. Here are just
a few of the ways we help companies prevent interpersonal problems
and develop effective work relationships:
- Appropriate Workplace Behavior. This in-house class
covers the entire continuum of workplace behavior, promoting effective
behavior at work while eliminating what is inappropriate (behavior
that hurts feelings, creates tension and stress, and/or lowers
productivity) and/or what is illegal (harassment and/or discrimination).
- Our manager's version
of Appropriate Workplace Behavior addresses the gamut of
workplace behavior yet also highlights the unique legal responsibilities
managers face and offers specific "do's" and "don'ts"
when approached with an offensive behavior complaint. This class
is offered in-house and online.
- Performance Management for Technical
Managers training is geared toward technical managers who want to develop
the management skills necessary to lead effective teams through
project management skills, motivation and communication strategies,
and performance through motivation and performance development
techniques.
- Our online Appropriate Workplace
Behavior certification series keeps track of who has been
through the class, sends reminder e-mails, provides completion
certificates, and has clearly documented demonstrated learning
that is a great way to show the courts "good faith effort"!
Plus, it can show you a cost savings of 30 to 50 percent over
in-house fees!
